Narrow down the candidates for your family
First plan where everyone will sit, then where belongings will go. The total passenger count includes the driver and children. Two adults and two children are four people; a child seat occupies the child's seating position.
Assess vehicle candidates for your family
Quick elimination: With six passengers, the Fit and Yaris Cross are ruled out by seating capacity. For a family of four, the choice depends on fitting child seats, suitcases and the pushchair together. Eight or more people cannot travel in one of these three models.
Fit, Yaris Cross and Sienta compared
All three models are automatic. The Fit is a starting candidate for a small family and light luggage. Compare the Yaris Cross for an SUV preference and the Sienta for more passengers or a different seating arrangement.

The Yaris Cross being an SUV does not by itself show that it offers more room for your belongings than the Fit. Choose between them using measurements and your driving preferences; compare the Sienta in the seating configuration you need.
Which scenario is closest to your family?
2 adults + 1 child, light luggage
First candidate: Honda Fit. Start with the five-seat class for one child seat and little luggage. Compare the Yaris Cross if you prefer an SUV. Before moving to a larger vehicle, ask about a suitable arrangement using your suitcase dimensions.
2 adults + 2 children, pushchair
Compare the Fit or Yaris Cross with the Sienta. Luggage arrangement becomes important with two child seats, a pushchair and large suitcases. Consider a four-person Sienta arrangement without using the third row; every child seat must be in an approved position.
3 adults + 2 child seats
First confirm usable belted seating positions. After child seats are installed, there must be a suitable place for the third adult. The Fit manual notes that some installations can make the centre seat belt unusable. A Sienta arrangement with the adult in the third row may be considered; check the child seat position and remaining luggage space separately.
6–7 passengers + holiday luggage
Seating-capacity candidate: Sienta. Six people require the third row; seven use every passenger seat. Confirm the arrangement in advance using your complete suitcase and pushchair list. If no suitable configuration works, compare the total cost of multiple cars or transport with suitable capacity.
Plan Sienta luggage around the passenger count
Toyota separately shows the arrangement for up to seven people using all three rows, and the arrangement for up to five people with the third row folded. A seat folded for more luggage space cannot accommodate a passenger at the same time.

State how many seats you will use in your booking request and assess your belongings in that configuration. Do not apply luggage measurements from a different model year or a five-seat Sienta version to your allocated car.
How should you measure suitcases and a pushchair?
Write each suitcase's length × width × height in centimetres, including wheels and handles. Fold the pushchair as you will carry it and measure it; list any carrycot or wheels transported separately.
- Count the entire load: large suitcases, cabin bags, pushchair and other bulky equipment. Mention if you bring your own child seat.
- Give measurements and quantities together: for example, “2 suitcases, each 75 × 48 × 30 cm; folded pushchair 85 × 55 × 35 cm”.
- Think about the return: include any bag you will use for shopping or extra belongings.
- Ask about usable space: the narrowest boot width, floor length and tailgate opening with all required seats in use.
Multiplying three external dimensions does not directly correspond to a car's boot capacity in litres. Wheel arches, a sloping tailgate and item shapes change how things fit.
Keep first-day essentials in an accessible small bag. Secure suitcases and equipment according to the vehicle manual so they cannot move or obstruct passengers.
Choose the child seat together with its position in the car
ERM lists a baby seat as free on the forms for these three models; the service is subject to availability. Include the quantity and each child's age, height and weight in your request. Check that the suitable type and number of seats have been added to your booking.
If bringing your own seat, provide its make and model and any base unit. Assess compatibility with the child, vehicle and seating position using both the vehicle and child seat manufacturers' instructions. The presence of ISOFIX alone does not mean every seat will fit.
Honda's Japanese 2023 Fit manual identifies the two outer rear positions for ISOFIX/i-Size. Some child seat installations may make the centre belt unusable. Therefore, check other passengers' belted places after the child seats are installed; do not decide solely from the car's five-person rating.
If you need three child seats, verify the seat models and approved installation positions together before booking. The Sienta having seven seats does not by itself show that three child seats can be installed correctly.
Collect the car in the arrangement you will use on holiday
- Set up the seating: adjust the driver's position and put all seats needed by passengers in their upright, locked positions.
- Check child seats: the product and installation must follow both manufacturers' instructions. Other passengers must also be able to use their belts correctly.
- Load all luggage together: try the suitcases and pushchair without folding seats needed by passengers.
- Make a final check: the tailgate should close normally and belongings must not obstruct visibility or passengers. Secure loose loads properly.
Resolve an unsuitable arrangement before setting off: reduce belongings, select another suitable car or use a different transport arrangement. Every passenger must retain an appropriate belted place and any required child seat.

Frequently asked questions
Does a family with two children definitely need an SUV in Cyprus?
No. Two adults and two children are four people. Assess the Fit or Yaris Cross together with the child seats, suitcases and pushchair. Add the Sienta to the comparison if you have bulky belongings.
Can two child seats and a third adult fit in the rear row?
You cannot decide from the five-person capacity alone. A suitable place with a usable belt must remain beside the installed child seats. Some Fit installations may make the centre belt unusable. If no suitable arrangement works, consider a different seating layout.
Can a Toyota Sienta carry seven people and seven suitcases?
Seven passengers use every seat, so the third row cannot be folded for luggage. A count of seven suitcases is not enough. Have their dimensions and your full load, including any pushchair, checked in this seating arrangement.
Does the Fit or Yaris Cross carry more luggage?
ERM lists both as two suitcases and one bag. Compare actual measurements and the seats in use to decide for your belongings. SUV classification alone does not prove that more luggage fits.
Are child seats free?
The ERM forms for these three models list a baby seat as free, subject to availability. Specify the suitable type and quantity in advance. Follow the booking confirmed for your travel dates.
Can I bring my own child seat?
If travelling with your own seat, provide its make and model and any base unit in advance. Verify compatibility with the car and approved seating position using both the vehicle and child seat manufacturers' instructions.
Does a pushchair count as a cabin bag?
Declare the pushchair as separate equipment. List its folded external dimensions, wheels and any separately carried parts. A bag count does not adequately describe how it will fit.
Which car should we choose for a family of eight?
None of these three models carries eight passengers in one car. With multiple cars, everyone needs a suitable place and each car needs an eligible driver. Plan child seat and luggage distribution too, and compare other transport with suitable capacity.
