First confirm the port you will actually arrive at
Read the departure and arrival ports, sailing date and carrier together on your ticket. A search result for “Cyprus ferry” alone does not explain your arrival in Kyrenia. Check separately whether the return departs from the same port.
Akgünler's official booking system lets you search by port and date. Ask the carrier about passenger acceptance and the terms for your dates. Do not treat the sea journey, port formalities and leaving the terminal as the same duration; no fixed arrival time for all sailings is provided here.
Distinguish the historic harbour from the passenger terminal
Kyrenia's historic harbour is somewhere you will see on a sightseeing plan. For your ferry, use the passenger-terminal name and entrance or exit information given with your ticket. Instead of sending someone collecting you a general “Kyrenia Harbour” search, send the terminal specified by the carrier.
If meeting someone, ask which exit you will reach with your luggage. Do not assume every pier or passenger-processing area allows private vehicles. Establish how you will communicate instead of promising to meet at an exact minute before disembarkation, luggage collection and terminal exit are complete. A general port pin is not a confirmed meeting point.
Choose the remaining journey from terminal to accommodation

A carrier selling tickets does not mean it provides a shuttle from the port to your hotel. Akgünler's FAQ states that it does not offer city shuttle services from Kyrenia and Famagusta ports; check the final leg of your own journey separately.
Consider luggage and your first day together
Check the luggage allowance for your particular vessel and ticket. Keep your phone, required documents and journey essentials readily accessible in a small bag. If travelling as a family, plan who will carry each item when leaving the terminal and how the pushchair will be used.
Going directly to your accommodation to leave belongings may be easier on the first day than starting sightseeing at the port exit. If rooms will not be ready, ask the hotel about luggage storage. Plan a short walk only according to the time remaining after terminal formalities and reaching accommodation; do not assume a room or storage service is automatically available.
Confirm port delivery separately
If considering ERM car hire, send your delivery request together with the sailing, estimated arrival, passengers, belongings and accommodation address. ERM serving Kyrenia does not mean delivery is approved at every point in the port at all hours. If port delivery is unavailable, ask how office collection or accommodation delivery can be arranged.

Check that the confirmation message includes the final address, time and total price for port meeting or accommodation delivery.
Save the return sailing details from day one
Establish the return port, sailing and processing time required by the carrier. If using a rental car, plan the return location and onward journey to the passenger terminal as separate steps. If flying home, do not leave the ferry-arrival address as your car-return address.
